Filipina actress Anne Curtis-Smith started her career in showbiz at the tender age of 13. Originally from Wangaratta, Australia, she and her family moved to the Philippines when her modeling career began to take off.
Soon after she got noticed by the television network GMA and started taking on small supporting roles in television series like TGIS and Ikaw Na Sana. She appeared in her first film called Magic Kingdom in 1997.
Anne’s career went soaring as she continued to get noticed by the Filipino showbiz industry. Apart from her film and television projects she also acquired a number of endorsements from different companies making her one of the biggest and sought after names in the industry.
In 2004 she transferred to GMA’s rival network ABS-CBN which became the launching pad for bigger and more mature roles. In the movie Hiram under Star Cinema she top billed the project together with some important names in the local movie industry.
Within the next year she took on a big project with ABS-CBN when she landed a plum role in the television series Kampanerang Kuba.
Since then Anne’s career star started to shine brighter as she starred in more movies pairing her up with veteran actors such as Aga Mulach in When Love Begins. In 2008 she starred opposite Jericho Rosales in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry entitled Baler in which she won the Best Actress Award. In 2011 she starred in the movie No Other Woman which earned Php 275 million in ticket sales all over the country. It is currently the highest grossing movie in Filipino movie history.
